We began the way most good things begin — quietly, and out of a specific need. What we knew was this: the furniture we liked was made by a handful of small, third-generation ateliers. It was sold through showrooms and trade channels. It was almost never seen in New York.
So we built the bridge. Alvier Casa is not a store. It is a small New York practice that represents a curated number of furniture makers directly to private clients, designers, and architects. We plan the room with you, commission the pieces on your behalf, and deliver them white-glove to your home.
Nothing is kept in a warehouse. Every piece is made for a specific room, in a specific home, for a specific client. The process is quiet, considered, and slow by design — we have found that the best rooms are always the ones that were not in a hurry.
Our ateliers are small, family-run, and specialised. An upholstery house. A cabinetmaker's joinery workshop. A stone studio. A leather workshop. Each is known for a single discipline, done well, over generations.
Most are third or fourth generation. None produce on speculation. We commission directly, piece by piece, without warehouse inventory or seasonal catalogues — the way these workshops have always preferred to work.
One point of contact from the first conversation to the last adjustment after delivery. No showroom floor. No sales targets. No rush.
A private consultation in person in New York or privately by video. We listen, take notes, and walk through your room, your habits, and your aesthetic before we recommend a single piece.
A tailored edit of pieces with materials, finishes, dimensions, and drawings. We revise until every line fits the room. Swatches and samples are couriered on request.
Orders are placed with the makers. Production typically runs 10–16 weeks. We update you along the way with photographs, notes from the workshop, and any decisions required.
White-glove delivery anywhere in the New York metropolitan area. Assembly, placement, and a walk-through with our team. Service and reupholstery are available for every piece thereafter.
Alvier Casa does not operate a public showroom. Samples, swatches, drawings, and private visits are arranged individually.
We work with private clients, architects, and interior design studios across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Westchester, and the Hamptons — and with a small number of residential developers and hospitality groups.
The details are not the details. They make the design.
